A: Are you nervous about the check-up?

      (건강 검진 때문에 긴장돼?)

B: A little bit. It’s my first time.

      (약간. 처음이야.)

A: It’ll be finished in no time.

      (순식간에 끝날 거야.)

B: I hope everything turns out okay.

      (다 괜찮게 나오면 좋겠어.)

 

 

 

 

A: Are you nervous about the check-up?

* (health) check-up - 건강 검진

※ regular (health) check-up - 정기 건강 검진

 

* nervous [nə́ːrvəs] - 긴장되는, 불안한

 

▶ nervous + about (명사) = (명사) 때문에 긴장한

ex) I am nervous about the exam.  -  나 그 시험 때문에 긴장돼.

      I am not nervous about it.  -  난 그거 긴장 안 돼.

      Aren't you nervous about the audition?  -  너 그 오디션 때문에 긴장되지 않니?

 

B: A little bit. It’s my first time.

* first time [fə́ːrsttáim] - 처음

* fifth time - 다섯 번째 [fifθ]

* ninth time - 아홉 번째 [nainθ]

* twelfth time - 열두 번째 [twelfθ]

 

▶ a little bit = 약간

ex) I ate a little bit.  -  나 약간 먹었어

      I am a little bit nervous.  -  나 약간 긴장돼.

 

※ a little bit = a bit

 

A: It’ll be finished in no time.

* finished [fíniʃt] - 끝난, 다 마친

※ finished [fíniʃt] = done [dʌn]

 

▶ in no time = 순식간에

ex) The repair will be finished in no time.  -  그 수리는 순식간에 끝날 겁니다.

      We will be at the beach in no time.  -  우린 순식간에 그 해변에 도착할 거야.

 

* repair [ripέər] - 수리, 수리하다

* beach [biːʧ] - 해변, 바닷가, 해수욕장, 

 

B: I hope everything turns out okay.

* everything [eˈvriθiˌŋ] - 모든 것, 다

 

▶ turn out okay = (결과가) 괜찮게 나오다

     - turn out = (결과가) 드러나다

ex) Everything turned out okay.  -  모든 게 (결과가) 괜찮게 나왔어.

      The meeting turned out okay.  -  그 미팅은 (결과가) 괜찮았어.
